On Sunday I met up with Gina and her family to make some family portraits for them in New Smyrna Beach, FL. It took a little bit of work on my part to overcome the lighting on the beach at the time of the photo session. Then I had to shoot around all the other people on the beach, so that I could make them disappear. Finally I had to figure out how to get portraits of two Maggie and Katie who both seemed to want to be doing anything other then having their photos taken. In the end, I was able to get some good images.
Help spread the word- Stop Kony in 2012!
This is not a post about photography, this is not a post with photos of happy people. I’m writing the post to help spread the word, and make sure everyone that I know, knows about this. This IS a post about Humanity.
When I was in college, I majored in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations. In part my major was a personal decision based on world events in 2001 that affected me. In all my studies, there is one clear and pervasive line of thought and understanding that centers where I stand on almost all political issues. That is, We cannot isolate ourselves from the world, we are all citizens on this Earth, and what happens in other countries can and will have an effect on us here. So with that said, there are horrible things that happen every day to people all over the world, you can ignore them as long as you want, but eventually it will come around and you will see that what happens on the other side of the world can affect you at home. For 26 years, Kony has been allowed to make war… It is time to end it. It’s time to see those lost in the world around us and speak up for those who cannot speak loud enough for the world to hear their story!
Tell people about this, share this, write to your representatives and senators.
